Next Predator Movie From Prey Director Gets Release Date, Takes Over Long-Troubled MCU Movie
Predator: Badlands now officially has a release date, and it nabs a spot previously reserved for a troubled MCU film. Prey, the latest installment in the long-running sci-fi action franchise hailed from director Dan Trachtenberg and was released in 2022, taking the story back to the 1700s as a Comanche warrior faces off against the first Yautja alien to land on Earth. It was subsequently confirmed that Trachtenberg would return to the franchise with Predator: Badlands, a film that will reportedly star Elle Fanning in the lead role and that could feature a story set in the future.
Deadline now reports that Predator: Badlands will be released on November 7, 2025, taking the date previously reserved for Marvel's Blade, which is set to star Mahershala Ali. After Prey's direct-to-streaming release on Hulu, the next installment will get a wide theatrical release.
As for Blade, that film, which was first announced in 2019, remains in development.
