The Predator is returning to theaters, with Predator: Badlands arriving on Nov. 7, 2025.

The move comes after 20th Century Studios’ historical Predator feature Prey became a sleeper hit on Hulu in 2022. Prey director Dan Trachtenberg returns to helm Badlands, with Elle Fanning starring. Until now, it was unclear if the film would be for streaming for theatrical.

Predator takes the spot of Marvel Studios’ long-gestating Blade, which Disney removed from the release calendar. The move is not a surprise, as Blade is currently without a director and has faced numerous delays.

Marvel Studios announced Blade at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, but has hit a number of snags on the way to the screen, including the pandemic, labor strikes and losing two filmmakers.
