Supernatural: Eric Kripke Personally Instructed Misha Collins to Read a Biblical Book about Angels Wiping Out Humanity for Castiel
Supernatural was a show that Eric Kripke described as not having a lot of its own mythology, hence he preferred the show over the likes of Lost and Heroes. However, that did not stop the writer/director from taking inspiration from real-world belief systems for his work, given that he was dealing with angels, demons, and monsters in Supernatural.
