Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are set to star in the upcoming book-to-movie adaptation of The Housemaid.

Paul Feig is directing the upcoming adaptation of the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden.

Lionsgate has confirmed that both Sydney and Paul have closed their deal while Amanda is in final negotiations.

In the film, Sydney will play Millie, a struggling young woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew, an upscale, wealthy couple… but soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.
