Directed by Juan Pablo Arias Munoz, The Curse of the Necklace is an out-and-out horror thriller with ghosts and all. As the title suggests, the film involves a cursed necklace with spirits trapped in it. A police officer, Frank, tried to impress his wife, Laura, by gifting her a necklace he found in the evidence room. Since the necklace was retrieved from an investigation conducted in 1938, he assumed it was already a cold case and no one would search for the ornament. Frank and Laura had separated—it was the 1960s, and Laura’s decision to work as a nurse did not sit well with Frank, resulting in their dispute.
