
Daniel Day-Lewis Unretires to Star in New Film Anemone

Daniel Day-Lewis is coming out of retirement to star in a new movie directed by his son.
The three-time Academy Award-winning actor is set to star in Anemone, marking his first on-screen role since 2017.
Daniel Day-Lewis co-wrote the film with his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, who is making his directorial debut. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script “explores family bonds, specifically those involving fathers, sons and brothers.”
Alongside Day-Lewis, the cast includes Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley and Safia Oakley-Green.
Day-Lewis previously announced his retirement from acting following the release of The Phantom Thread in 2017.
