Jon Bernthal (‘The Bear’) wins Emmy for Comedy Guest Actor
Jon Bernthal (“The Bear”) won his first ever Emmy Award for Best Comedy Guest Actor at Sunday night’s Creative Arts ceremony in downtown Los Angeles. He had received his first nomination last year for playing the late brother Michael Berzatto of lead actor Jeremy Allen White‘s character Carmy.
For this weekend, he defeated Matthew Broderick (“Only Murders in the Building”), Ryan Gosling (“Saturday Night Live”), Christopher Lloyd (“Hacks”), Bob Odenkirk (“The Bear”) and Will Poulter (“The Bear”). According to Gold Derby odds, he was predicted to win at 31/10 odds ahead of Gosling in this guest star category.
