It’s known that Rdj began negotiating his return over a year ago. According to Variety, Marvel is paying $80 million for Anthony and Joe Russo to direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, with Robert Downey Jr.’s salary for playing Doctor Doom in both films being even higher. The Russos’ deal, which doesn’t include back-end compensation, features performance bonuses tied to box office milestones of $750 million and $1 billion. Additionally, the Russos will produce the films through their Agbo banner, deviating from Marvel’s usual practice of handling production in-house.
