If I’m going to be honest, I think The Frog tries way too hard to be philosophical, which becomes somewhat of a buzzkill for the more thrilling parts of the show. I suppose if it wasn’t as stuck up on trying to be cerebral, it might’ve just been plain entertaining. The Korean title of the show and the English title are completely different, so I’m going to try and attempt to explain both of these. The Frog tells the story of Yeong-Ha, a man who runs a Korean “pension” in the middle of the woods, when one day a woman visits with her stepson.
