‘Tokunbo’ Ending Explained & Movie Spoilers: Was Nike Rescued?

Netflix’s new Nigerian release, Tokunbo, is about a former car smuggler who accepted a deal with the devil to pay for his son’s medical treatment. Immediately after his son was born, Tokunbo decided he would no longer smuggle cars. Even though the money was good, he wanted to set an example for his son, and he was determined to earn an honest living. His boss, the notorious gangster Gaza, accepted his decision to leave, but in exchange, Tokunbo was paid less than he was promised. Tokunbo walked away because he knew that arguing with Gaza would result in his death. Tokunbo took up cab driving to provide for his family, but within eighteen months his son fell sick, and he had to arrange nine and a half million naira for his treatment.
