Bill Gates Investigates ‘What’s Next?’ With AI, Social Media and Other Issues In New Netflix Series From Morgan Neville (Exclusive)

Netflix is once again exploring Bill Gates’ brain, but this time from a different angle. The streamer has picked up the five-part docuseries “What’s Next? The Future With Bill Gates,” which follows the tech icon, billionaire and health and climate philanthropist as he explores some of the world’s most pressing issues.
Oscar winner Morgan Neville (“20 Feet From Stardom”) is exec producer on “What’s Next? The Future With Bil Gates,” which premieres Sept. 18.
The project comes five years after Netflix’s docuseries “Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates,” which told the origins story of Gates and how he rose to become co-founder and former CEO of Microsoft and founder (with his ex-wife) of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
This time out, the show’s logline promises to show Gates as he “delves into the promise and risks of artificial intelligence; the pervasive challenge of misinformation and...
