Hugh Jackman Says He Ate 6,000 Calories a Day to Prepare for 'Deadpool & Wolverine' - Here's What He Ate
Hugh Jackman is explaining his superhero diet.
The 55-year-old actor said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he ate 6,000 calories per day to prepare to return to the ripped role of Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine.
When Jimmy asked about how he got his body in shape for the role, he joked: “You eat like steamed rocks or something. What do you have?”
Hugh responded: “Yeah, sometimes I fry the rocks.”

“It’s 6,000 calories, and it’s not the calories you necessarily want. Like, half a pizza is 6,000 calories. But no, this is chicken, and it’s tilapia and beans. Tilapia and beans. I don’t know why tilapia. It must be some fish that is lean, and green beans,” Hugh went on to say.
And because of last year’s Hollywood strikes, he said he had to follow the diet for longer than expected.
