Since the first season of The Umbrella Academy, Ben’s death has been associated with something called “The Jennifer Incident.” The reason behind Ben’s passing or why his departure was associated with someone called Jennifer wasn’t really explained. When we met the Sparrow Academy version of Ben, he was drawing pictures of a girl called Jennifer, thereby hinting at the fact that these two were cosmically linked to each other, or something like that. The fourth season did shed some light on Jennifer, her connection to Ben, the durango, and how the consequences of the union of the two characters were cataclysmic in nature.
