
Donald Trump Falsely Claims 'Nobody Was Killed' During January 6 Insurrection, Says He Had a Bigger Crowd Than Martin Luther King Jr. in Rambling Press Conference

Donald Trump is making false claims in a bizarre new press conference.
The 78-year-old former President of the United States shocked viewers with a press conference on Thursday (August 8), during which he repeatedly lied and said that “nobody was killed” during the deadly January 6 insurrection led by his supporters at the Capitol in 2021.
“I think the people that if you look at Jan. 6, which a lot of people aren’t talking about very much, those people were treated very harshly when you compare them to other things that took place in this country where a lot of people were killed,” Trump said at Mar-a-Lago.
“Nobody was killed on Jan. 6. But I think the people of Jan. 6 were treated very unfairly.”
