Like its closest rival Warframe, The First Descendant allows players to collect the materials to craft every Descendant and their Ultimate form. These can be purchased with the in-game currency Caliber, but besides spending unnecessary money, this is purely speeding up progression.

In lore, Descendants are the actual descendants of the first humans to gain powers. These powers are known as Arche abilities and are unique to each Descendant. Sometimes, they will form based on an existing element and other times; they will be focused on a specific theme.
