Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle Anime Film Scores Over 20 Billion Yen Worldwide
The official accounts for the Haikyu!! anime series revealed a bunch of updates for the volleyball anime’s roster today, taking the worldwide box office total off the bench as well as announcing “Last Match“ screenings for the Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle anime film. As of Monday, July 8, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle has passed 20 million yen at the worldwide box office, with 11.21 billion yen (US$74.32 million) of that coming from screens in Japan. That makes the film part of the top 20 highest-grossing anime films of all time worldwide while continuing to be the 15th highest-grossing anime film in Japan and the 35th highest-grossing movie overall. Alongside the box office update, a “Last Match” screening was announced for August 18, the day before Haikyu!! Day on August 19.
