Three of the world’s biggest VTubers are getting called up to the big leagues. The virtual creators Gawr Gura, Hoshimachi Suisei, and Usada Pekora will participate in promotions and on-field events as part of a promotion that will take place at a Los Angeles Dodgers game.

The Dodgers have dubbed July 5 as “hololive night,” in reference to the production company that introduced the aforementioned VTubers to the world. Fans who show up at Dodger Stadium that evening will enjoy special announcements over the Pa system, a drone show, and life-sized cutouts of the three guest stars.

Gawr Gura will add to the fun during the seventh inning. That’s when the self-described “shark-girl idol” — who took home the VTuber of the Year prize at the 2023 Streamy Awards — will regale Dodger fans with a rendition of the diamond classic “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”.
