So far it’s been difficult to talk about the size of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree without coming to two conclusions. One is….well, phrasing, and the other is how much we simply still didn’t know about the game. FromSoftware has a history of deceiving players when asked such questions about their games. Call them modest or illusive, but the studio tends to undersell the scope of their projects.

Well, now that multiple people have gotten the chance to play a few hours of the upcoming Dlc, we can safely say that Shadow of the Erdtree is a massive Dlc release that is closer to being Elden Ring 2 than many people thought.

The earliest estimates suggest that Shadow of the Erdtree can be in 25-35 hours depending on skill level and build optimization. Please note, though, that is both a very early estimate based on incomplete data...
