Next June will mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic Nippon Animation anime studio, which not only produced classics such as World Masterpiece Theater , A Dog of Flanders , Chibi Maruko-chan , the 1999 Hunter × Hunter anime but was one of the jumping-off studios for Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. To celebrate the momentous occasion, the studio will spend the next year looking back at its past and delivering updated projects, modern reimagining and more. To start with, the studio unveiled a new 50th-anniversary logo (see above) with a film print motif to “represent the history” of the studio.
