Mufasa Is Both A Lion King Prequel & Sequel, Explains Director
Mufasa: The Lion King director Barry Jenkins explains how the film is both a prequel and a sequel. Mufasa is a computer-animated film that tells the story of Simba raising a cub, who he is determined to make follow in his footsteps and those of his late father, Mufasa. Mufasa is set for release on December 20 and features a leading cast including Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Aaron Pierre, and John Kani.
Speaking with Empire, Jenkins says that Mufasa is both a prequel and a sequel.
