Bill Hader’s ‘The Cat in the Hat’ Lands March 2026 Release in Theaters
Bill Hader is learning how to meow.
Warner Bros. announced Monday it will release its animated event pic The Cat in the Hat — based on the beloved Dr. Seuss tale — in theaters on March 6, 2026. It also revealed the movie’s voice cast for the first time. Hader, who will play The Cat, will star opposite Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (SNL), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows) and Paula Pell (Girls5eva).
The film is being written and directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, with Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern producing. Susan Brandt, president-ceo of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, and Hader will executive produce. Dneg Animation will be the animation studio partner.
