Kate Middleton Clears Schedule Until Easter As She Recovers From Abdominal Surgery
After having abdominal surgery, Kate Middleton has been hospitalized and announced the delayed return to her royal responsibilities.
A statement from Kensington Palace on Wednesday revealed that Princess Kate went to the London Clinic for a scheduled abdominal surgery on Tuesday.
“The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in the hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery,” the place said. “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”
Prince William has also announced that he will not be participating in his royal duties while his wife is in recovery to take care of the couple’s three children.
Additionally, the palace requested that people respect the princess’s privacy as her medical information will remain unavailable to the public.
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate,” it said in a statement.
