Once again this proves true with The Apothecary Diaries , whose light novel from written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Touko Shino has printed (physically) and sold (digitally) around 7 million copies since the anime adaptation began for a total of over 31 million copies for the series. Before the broadcast of The Apothecary Diaries began in September 2023, there were around 24 million copies printed (physically) and sold (digitally) of the series, rising to more than 27 million copies a month later, showing the excitement that the anime brought to the franchise which continues to this day.
