One Piece live-action star Mackenyu shows his fandom of the beloved franchise as he reveals his favorite story arcs to date at a live event.

Mackenyu attended the second day of the Geek Festival in Lima, Peru on Dec. 21, 2023, where he hosted a panel with interviewer Claudia Herrera, known as San-chan. When asked about his favorite One Piece arcs, he replied to excited reactions, "Favorite arc, did you say? I can only choose one?! 'Marineford' -- I'm not sure how you call it in English, so 'Marinfoodo,' is definitely up there. 'Enies Lobby' is definitely up there. Yeah." When asked about "Thriller Bark," which he and San-chan had discussed before the panel, he replied, 'Huh?,' leading many to suspect that this was a reference to Zoro's famous 'Nothing happened' scene, which Zoro would've likely been quick to move past.
