Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai: Director Ram’s film with Nivin Pauly and Soori to compete at Rotterdam Film Festival
Director Ram, known for his critically acclaimed films like Thanga Meengal and Peranbu, is back with his next project, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. The film stars popular Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly, who made his Tamil debut with Neram, and comedian Soori, who is also playing a pivotal role in Vetrimaaran’s Vaadivaasal. The film also features Anjali as the female lead and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The film has been officially selected for the prestigious International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), which will be held from January 24 to February 4, 2023. The film will compete in the Big Screen Competition section, which showcases films that are innovative and original in their storytelling and cinematic expression. The winner of this section will be awarded the Vpro Big Screen Award, which includes a cash prize of €30,000 and a guaranteed theatrical release in the Netherlands.
