‘The Amazing Race’s’ Morgan and Lena explain how Steve and Anna Leigh beat them to the Pit Stop [Exclusive Video Interview]
Leg 8 of “The Amazing Race 35” started off well for sisters Morgan and Lena Franklin, but their dreams of continuing the trek for $1 million came crashing down when they weren’t able to locate a parking garage. Despite a disastrous stretch of luck for Steve Cargile & Anna Leigh Wilson (which included climbing a mountain for an Express Pass that was long gone), the father/daughter duo reached host Phil Keoghan at the Pit Stop just moments before the sisters.
“We couldn’t find the parking garage,” Morgan tells Gold Derby (watch their exclusive video interview above). “Unfortunately for us, when we made it up to the tower, when we came down to get directions a lot of people kept pointing us the wrong way. We ended up running to other bridges because people thought they knew where they were and did not.”
