Throughout the story of One Piece, protagonist Monkey D. Luffy made various powerful enemies, including among his fellow pirates and certainly the World Government and its Navy armada. That includes various admirals, vice admirals, and even head admirals, though Luffy usually escaped their wrath without too much trouble. Luffy survived admiral Akainu's attack at the Marineford battle, for example, but Luffy and the Marines might soon cross paths again as the long-awaited war unfolds.

Here in the final saga, starting with the Egghead Island arc, Luffy's crew is already clashing with the Navy, with the lab-made Seraphim joining the fray and York turning traitor at a critical moment. That's bad enough for Dr. Vegapunk and the Straw Hats, but now admiral Kizaru, or Borsalino, is about to leap into the mix personally, armed with his dazzling Glint-Glint Fruit powers. He is overdue to shine in One Piece, literally and otherwise.
