Wicked Movie Cameos From Broadway Cast Addressed By Original Star
Original Wicked stage actor Kristin Chenoweth recently played coy regarding a potential cameo in the upcoming movie adaptation. Gregory Maguire's 1995 Wizard of Oz prequel novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West inspired the 2003 Wicked Broadway production which in turn inspired the highly-anticipated film version. The film stars Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good Witch and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp who later becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, two childhood friends who become iconic adversaries.
In a recent red carpet interview from Et Online, Chenoweth stayed coy about a possible cameo appearance in the Wicked film adaptation. When asked if she will appear in the film, the Tony Award-winning actor stated she could neither "confirm or deny" any involvement, but shared her excitement for both Grande and Erivo.
