Amber Rachdi was one of the stars of My 600 lb-Life season 3, and it's time to share what she has been up to since leaving the show. Amber was just 23 years old and weighed about 660 lbs. When she made her debut on My 600-lb Life, she was hoping to seek Dr. Younan Nowrazadan’s help. Amber’s weight issues and addiction to food started in her childhood when she was just five years old, and it constantly got worse as she grew up. As an adult, she no longer felt validated and beautiful in her relationship with her partner Rowdy.
Besides losing weight, Amber also had to overcome anxiety issues and the paralyzing fear that she wouldn’t be able to stick to Dr. Now’s guidelines. However, the Oregon native’s determination paid off, as she lost about 17 lbs, qualifying her for a gastric bypass surgery after altering her eating pattern.
