Love After Lockup alums Maurice and Jessica Gipson's social media activity has proven that they've broken up. The formerly married couple took jabs at each other online after their split, while Maurice was enjoying life with his new girlfriend, Mandy. It was hard to watch Maurice and his new girlfriend, as Jessica was raising their son, Ma'Liq Wayne Gipson, all by herself. According to Maurice, however, Jessica is a bitter ex-wife who prevented him from seeing his child.

Many viewers were rooting for Maurice and Jessica during Love After Lockup season 3. Maurice, an LA native, was hoping to change his life for the better. In turn, Jessica was looking forward to building a future with Maurice, and starting a family. The only issue was the reluctance that Jessica's family expressed over her relationship. Alas, after enough begging, Maurice was able to win Jessica's father over, and even got his wife pregnant.
