Derek Hough Not Performing During DWTS Finale Due To Hayley's Injury
Judge Derek Hough and his wife Hayley Erbert will no longer be performing during the Dancing With The Stars season 31 finale due to an injury Hayley recently endured. The engaged couple was set to perform in the ballroom together yet again in between the finalists' performances. Gabby Windey, Shangela, Charli D'Amelio, and Wayne Brady are all fighting for the Mirrorball Trophy.
During one of the final rehearsals leading up to the live Dancing With The Stars season 31 finale, Hayley injured her shoulder, which ultimately led to the decision to cut her and Derek's performance from the show. Derek took to Instagram late Sunday night to reveal the news. In a short video of himself and Hayley, the couple explained that the dance included a lift they had done numerous times before. Unfortunately, something went wrong while camera-blocking the dance, resulting in Hayley's shoulder injury.
