Watchmen: Comedian's Missing Costume Finally Explains His Design Change

The most notorious hero in Watchmen, the Comedian, has an outfit that may actually serve as a missing link between his two most well-known costumes. Before Watchmen: Minutemen #3 reveals the uniform Edward Blake wore between his time with the Minutemen and the U.S. government.
Of all the costumed adventurers in Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' story, the most controversial of the lot has to be the Comedian. Edward "Eddie" Blake started his career as the youngest member of the Minutemen, the world's first team of superheroes. However, after assaulting his teammate the Silk Spectre, Comedian was expelled from Watchmen's Minutemen team. He later took on government work, trading in his jester-like yellow outfit for a sturdier leather costume.
