Over the years, the Telemundo-produced show expanded beyond marital issues; including other disputes and matters such as violence and child abuse. At its peak, “Caso Cerrado” drew an average of 1,455,000 viewers daily and was the number one Spanish program in the 4 Pm time slot. The show also did well with younger demographics, with viewers aged 18 to 34 making up 39 of the total viewing audience.
