Devs: Release Date and Trailer for Alex Garland FX Series
Alec Bojalad Joseph Baxter Jan 9, 2020
FX and Hulu will soon debut Devs, a TV series from notable sci-fi writer and director Alex Garland.
Alex Garland has made a name as one of science fiction's brightest modern voices – both as a writer and director – thanks to the recent underperforming-but-acclaimed sci-fi film, Annihilation, 2014 cult-revered robotic drama Ex Machina and his revealed role as the true director of 2012’s Dredd. Now, the celebrated visionary will take his trade to television for a project, called Devs.
FX gave an eight-episode series order to Devs, back in August 2018, setting Alex Garland as executive producer. The story, set in Silicon Valley, will center on a young computer engineer, named Lily, who, suspicious of Amaya, her “cutting-edge tech company” employer, after the disappearance of her boyfriend, starts a dangerous investigation into the secret activities of its development division.
