Seinfeld is Coming To Netflix in 2021 in 4k
After losing the ultra hit shows The Office and Friends, Netflix has found a win with securing the streaming rights to the classic NBC sitcom Seinfeld.
The series is currently streaming on Hulu and it will be released on Netflix in 2021 and that’s where it will stay for at least five years. All 180 episodes of the show will be remastered in 4K for the first time ever for Netflix.
Netflix and Jerry Seinfeld have a strong working relationship with each other, so it makes sense that the series would eventually come to the streaming service with the rest of Seinfeld’s projects.
Sony Pictures Television Chairman Mike Hopkins told the Los Angeles Times, “Seinfeld is a one-of-a-kind, iconic, culture-defining show,” then added, “Now, 30 years after its premiere, Seinfeld remains center stage. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Netflix to bring this beloved series to current fans and new audiences around the globe.
