‘America’s Got Talent’ controversy: Is Emanne Beasha too young to be on ‘Agt’?
The winner of “America’s Got Talent” could well be 10-year-old singing sensation Emmane Beasha. This Jordanian songbird is set to compete in the live season 14 finale of “Agt” on Tuesday, September 17. The winner of the $1 million grand prize and contract to headline a Las Vegas casino show will be revealed next Wednesday. But is Emman too young to be on “America’s Got Talent”? Is it fair to the adults that are competing against her?
After all, this talented tyke may well have the edge in garnering votes. Remember, the 2017 winner was Darci Lynne Farmer, a 12-year-old singing ventriloquist. And the 2016 “Agt” champ was Grace VanderWaal, a 13-year-old singer with a big voice. It would not be surprising that the show is hoping to strike gold for a third time in four years with a child star.
Beasha numbered among the nine Golden Buzzer acts that got sent straight through to the live shows.
