A bar owner featured on Spike TV’s reality series “Bar Rescue” was sentenced to two to five years in prison for failing to pay sales tax on his business’ earnings, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette said Thursday. Michael Flore, 43, was also ordered to pay more than $1.5 million in restitution. According to Schuette, Flore pocketed more than $700,000 in sales tax from his bar The Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
