‘The View’s’ Whoopi Goldberg Disagrees With Matt Damon: Sexuality ‘Has Nothing to Do With What My Abilities Are’ (Video)
Whoopi Goldberg used “The View” on Tuesday to weigh in on Matt Damon‘s controversial comments about actors keeping their sexuality private for the sake of their craft, and she doesn’t agree. “I played a gay woman, in ‘Color Purple,’ a man in ‘The Associate’ and we’re actors,” Goldberg said during the ABC daytime talk show. “We’re supposed to be able to play everything and play it convincingly. So, I don’t think whether you know, or think or believe I’m gay has nothing to do with what my abilities are. As an actor that’s how I feel.
