HBO comedy-drama Entourage did a genius job of reflecting the realities of Hollywood survival. They hooked up actors and actresses (this happens), they jockeyed around studio chiefs over politics (this also happens) and they put a big-time star in rehab for drug addiction (this definitely happens).

But sometimes creator Doug Ellin and his writing team imitated real life before it happened. Ahead of the show's feature-length movie spinoff - out this month - here are 5 times when Entourage predicted the future...

1. Aquaman the movie (Seasons 2 and 3, 2005-2006)

Imagine a time when Hollywood wasn't smothering us with superheroes every other week. Hard, right? Believe it or not, when Entourage plotted Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) to play DC Comics' Aquaman on the big screen, there was merely a routine Spidey and Superman in sight. The movie even hired the mighty James Cameron to direct, plus Mandy Moore - ahem, Vinny's ex - as Aquagirl.
