Like a lot of iconic movie monsters, Dracula has had a rough time of it over recent years, with one of his most recent live-action adaptations – the NBC television series which starred Jonathan Rhys Meyers – lasting only a single season before being cancelled due to low ratings and a tepid critical response. Perhaps then it’s for the best that Dracula Untold is taking the vampire back to basics as it strives to deliver a very different take on his early years. In this movie, the focus will be on Vlad Tepes (Luke Evans) as he strikes a deal a deal with dark forces in order to protect his family and protect his homeland.
