Jason Bateman's Aggregate Films To Head To Family Therapy
Jason Bateman knows a thing or two about dysfunctional families. In addition to being best known for his work on the hit series Arrested Development, where he played a son from a rich family who has to try and keep them all together, his next project will be Shawn Levy's This Is Where I Leave You, the story of an estranged group of siblings brought back together after the death of their patriarch. But apparently he's not sick of the concept just yet. Universal has purchased a new comedy pitch titled Family Therapy that they plan to develop with Bateman's label Aggregate Films. According to Deadline, which first reported the acquisition, the plot involves "a dysfunctional but loving family" that tries to solve all of their serious issues by going to a therapist right before a big wedding.
