Shamar Thomas left "Survivor: Caramoan" after the medical team advised him to have his scratched eye seen by a specialist. He tells Zap2it

How was your eye? Were you hospitalized? Did everything turn out Ok?

"My eye, it was pretty bad, but they took care of me in the hospital. I had another injury that was a little bit more serious and that required me to stay in the hospital for six days."

Goodness. What was the other injury?

"I had a piece of bamboo in my finger and it was infected. I had to have emergency surgery. My finger is permanently scarred and disfigured. That was my main concern."

Are you glad you went on "Survivor"? Was it what you were expecting?

"Apart from being in Iraq and [a video I shot], this has been the biggest thing that I've ever been able to be a part of. I thank casting, Jeff Probst...
