After delivering the Nazi zombie horror flick Dead Snow, director Tommy Wirkola moved on to a Hollywood project with Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (which won't arrive in theaters until January of 2013). Now the filmmaker is staying in English-language films as Heat Vision has heard Wirkola will be at the helm of an adaptation of Scott Chitwood and Paul Ens' graphic novel Afterburn. We haven't heard about this project since late 2010 when Antoine Fuqua was said to direct with Gerard Butler starring. The actor is still attached, but obviously Fuqua will not be directing.
