Cbbc has commissioned a brand new drama series set in Jacqueline Wilson’s fictional children’s home The Dumping Ground, familiar to millions of viewers from Cbbc dramas The Story of Tracy Beaker and Tracy Beaker Returns.

The new series will continue to delve into the everyday lives and experiences of young people in care, with new dilemmas, dramas and friendships being explored across 13 half-hour episodes, and Nick Sharratt’s popular animated illustrations, which featured in the award-winning series The Story of Tracy Beaker and Tracy Beaker Returns, will continue to counterpoint the live action.
