Veteran actors Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis brought impressive star power to CBS’ still-untitled ‘60s-set Las Vegas drama. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Quaid signed on to play rodeo cowboy Ralph Lamb who becomes the Las Vegas sheriff in the ‘60s. Chiklis joined the series as Johnny Savino, a Chicago mobster relocated to Vegas who clashes with Lamb’s law-and-order methods. Greg Walker and Nicholas Pileggi boarded the series as co-writers with James Mangold directing the pilot episode and Kathy Konrad and Arthur Sarkassian executive producing. Chiklis last appeared in the ABC superhero series No Ordinary Family and Quaid joined Bradley Cooper on the drama The Words, which made its premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
