Weaving together home video, passenger and staff stories, National Geographic Channel will air a one-hour documentary February 13th recounting the recent Costa Concordia ship disaster off the coast of Italy. Titled Italian Cruise Ship Disaster: The Untold Stories, the U.S. documentary will look at the similarities and differences with the Titanic. In January, Carnival Cruise-owned Costa Concordia collided with rocks, tearing a 160-foot hole on the port side of the ship carrying 3200 passengers and 1000 crew, killing at least 17. The doc is produced by Dragonfly TV for National Geographic Channel.
