Home and Away character Charlie Buckton has died in the latest episode to air in Australia. Charlie passed away in hospital after her daughter Ruby (Rebecca Breeds) and lover Brax (Steve Peacocke) agreed that her ventilator should be turned off as there was nothing more that doctors could do for her. The former police officer had been shot by vengeful Jake Pirovic (Fletcher Humphrys) in the soap's 2011 season finale, but firm details of her exit scenes had been kept under wraps until transmission.
