Blake Shelton has explained why he chose to save Xenia on The Voice. The country star decided to advance Xenia in the competition over Jared Blake and Patrick Thomas on Tuesday night. The public had already voted to save Dia Frampton. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday, he said: "I kind of had the idea that Dia was going to make it [to the next round] because her performance had this huge impact. "Once that happened, I'm looking at Patrick and Jared and Xenia standing up there. I don't know about y'all, but I love Xenia. I'm protective of her.
