J. Cole has unveiled the lineup for his 2025 Dreamville Festival. On Monday, the rapper unveiled that he’ll headline the annual North Carolina fest alongside Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, J. Cole, Erykah Badu, and Tems. The two-day festival is scheduled for April 5 and 6 at Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park.

Exclusive: Victoria Monét and DJ D-Nice will join a lineup of other celebrities at a get-out-the-vote rally in Atlanta on Tuesday for When We All Vote, the organization founded by former First Lady Michelle Obama.

The former First Lady will headline the rally, which will also feature performances by Ari Lennox and a local drumline.

Monét will join other speakers including When We All Vote co-chairs Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes, Rita Wilson and Liza Koshy, along with ambassadors Kelly Rowland, Marsai Martin and Ciara. Kalen Allen and Lynae Vanee will co-host.

The rally, which will be live-streamed, will promote first-time and early voting in particular in the state. Early voting ends on Nov. 1.

Others scheduled to attend and speak at the event include Kate Capshaw, EarthGang, Nneka Ogwumike, Reyna Roberts, Patti Scialfa, Lynae Vanee and Lynn Whitfield.

The fest made the announcement on Tuesday evening, sharing an Instagram post of Weekend Two’s updated schedule and listing Kid Cudi on Sunday from 5:10 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. at the Sahara tent. Teasing his performance, the post was captioned, “On the pursuit of happiness.”

The festival expands from two days to three and will be held at Nos Events Center in San Bernardino from December 10th to 12th. It follows Rolling Loud Los Angeles in 2019, which was the festival’s most recent in-person live event.

City Girls performed “Pussy Talk,” changed to “Kitty Talk” for broadcast purposes, and “Jobs” during the BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday. City Girls’ Yung Miami and Jt were nominated in the Best Duo or Group category, competing with Earthgang, Jackboys, Migos, Chris Brown and Young Thug, and Run the Jewels. Chris Brown and Young Thug took home the award.

Gorillaz have announced Song Machine Live, the virtual group’s first performance in two years, airing December 12th and 13th.

The three ticketed shows are a continuation of Gorillaz’s Song Machine video series and will be broadcast live across three different time zones via LIVENow. Noodle, Murdoc, Russel and 2D will be joined by Damon Albarn as they perform songs from their album Song Machine: Season One – Strange Timez, out October 23rd, as well as old favorites. Bon Iver and EarthGang teamed up to remix Brittany Howard’s “Goat Head” and “Short and Sweet,” off of her recent solo debut, Jaime.

The songs originally featured just Howard and her guitar, but Bon Iver added lush, swirling instrumentation to “Short and Sweet,” while “Goat Head” got an additional two verses from the Atlanta hip-hop duo.

“We’ve been big fans of Brittany and Alabama Shakes so this is a dream come true,” EarthGang said in a statement. “Songs like these help us make sense of all the craziness in the world at times.

Robert Gibbs has been elevated to Head of Contemporary Music at ICM Partners. Gibbs has been with ICM for 14 years. He was made partner in 2016 and becomes the first African American Department Head of a Major Agency Music Department, according to the agency’s release announcing Gibbs’ promotion.

Having the No. 1 project in the country is old hat for J. Cole, but the instant success of Dreamville’s highly-anticipated “Revenge of the Dreamers III” collection, which features collaborations with more than 25 artists, writers and producers, took many by surprise.

The first installment of the series arrived in 2014, followed by “Revenge of the Dreamers II” one year later. Both had buzz, but didn’t set the charts on fire like “ROTD3,” the result of a by-invitation-only 10-day studio session held at Tree Sounds Studios in Norcross, Georgia.

Three days before “ROTD3” dropped, Dreamville released the official documentary for the album. Directed by David Peters and produced by Scott Lazer, over 100 hours of footage were edited down into 30 minutes. Currently, the film boasts over 2.3 million views on YouTube.
