A humorous moment from this week’s Monday Night Raw was when the general manager asked Pat McAfee to “talk it out” to Gunther; he almost tripped getting into the ring. The awkward moment captured on tape has caused many fans to ask themselves if McAfee’s fight at WWE Backlash is fair.

We all know Pat McAfee as a good guy who breaks down the storylines for us, but he was also an NFL star punter. His mic work did help get the fans to cheer for him even more, but I can’t help but think of the stumble he took entering the ring and the look on his face when Gunther stated he would not spare him makes you wonder if he is truly ready for a beast like “The Ring General.”

Gunther has been a cornerstone for WWE television programming for the last two years. The Ring General had a remarkable run on Nxt UK, Nxt, and the main roster, spending almost 80% of his WWE tenure as a champion. However, things went sour for The Ring General this past week at WrestleMania.

On Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, Gunther defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso. The match was a huge back-and-forth contest between the two formidable rivals that saw Jey Uso dethrone him for the title by making Gunther tap out. This led to the Ring General suffering one of the most embarrassing losses of his career.

Moreover, he was also not happy with some remarks made by Michael Cole while calling his match. Gunther tried to attack him, which in turn led to a huge fiasco and a major situation with inside details emerging after WWE announced his suspension.

“You can’t see me.” Maybe not, but we all saw the bald spot that was on John Cena’s head. After all, it was pretty hard to miss. The wrestler has always had great hair throughout the years, so naturally, when fans noticed that he was missing a good chunk of his hair at the back, they were worried. However, things seem to have gone back to normal for John Cena as he no longer has a bald spot.

Despite the concern and/or trolling he received, John Cena embraced his hair loss with pride. But when 2025 rolled in, though, the bald spot was mysteriously erased from existence. The wrestler recently opened up about what he’s doing to keep his hair happy and healthy.

Since 1975, the United States Championship maintained its presence under Jim Crockett Promotions before WWE formed. WWE obtained the US championship through the acquisition of WCW during its 2001 buyout, unlike most championships in WWE today.

WWE reactivated the US Championship in 2003 after a short unification period with the Intercontinental Championship, which made it a constant mid-card title throughout. The company has used the title across its history to develop wrestlers who would go on to become future champions. However, his moment was cut short, when the then-us Champion, Austin Theory, challenged him to a match at WrestleMania.

During their faceoff, Cena flaunted his mic skills and not only hushed the Champion but also gave a low blow to WWE.

John Cena has been considered one of the greatest to ever step in a WWE ring. He has been the hero of many kids. For a generation, “Hustle, Loyalty and Respect” was a mantra every young wrestling fan tried to live up to. His recent heel turn after winning the Elimination Chamber shocked the world. He is set to face “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE championship at Wrestlemania 41. Cena is no stranger to the “Grandest Stage of Them All”.

He has competed in 15 of them, with a record of 10-6. Five of these 15 have been in the coveted main event spot, where he has a record of 3-2. We can talk about Cena’s victories forever, but his losses have been interesting and strange.

The final years of the career of wrestling stars are considered very important for the future of the business. The top promotions majorly use it as an opportunity to shape up their current rosters and give significant push to the talents of today at the expense of the veterans.

Over the years, many veterans have put over younger stars to elevate their status in WWE. A notable example was The Undertaker taking a crushing defeat at the hands of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, which gave a huge push to the then-young star who ultimately became the face of the company.

Moreover, top legends like Triple H and John Cena did the same in the final years of their career. Triple H had been doing the same in his prime years as well, putting over stars like John Cena and Batista and, later on, Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, and Seth Rollins.

Brock Lesnar has been one of the most decorated names in combat sports. The Beast Incarnate has been a former WWE Champion, UFC Champion, and NCAA Division One Heavyweight Champion and has been regarded for his raw power, exceptional strength, and dominance in the ring.

Apart from his dominant strength, Brock Lesnar has also displayed in-ring acumen and performances men his size usually cannot do. In his early days, he was able to make moves like the Shooting Star Press, and his speed and athleticism are also remarkable.

WWE wrapped up SmackDown for 2024 with a great show from Tampa, Fl. Cody Rhodes returned and will face Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble in a Ladder Match. Kevin Owens has retained ownership of the Winged Eagle Belt, and Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline got the upper hand on Sami Zayn. This came after Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes in a great match.

Chelsea Green addressed her adoring public as Women's United States Champion, and Tiffany Stratton flirted cashing in on Nia Jax as they and Candace LeRae were defeated by Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Naomi. Braun Strowman defeated Austin Theory while also feuding with Carmelo Hayes and The Bloodline, and the tag team division is in chaos. Street Profits defeated Legado Del Fantasma, as Pretty Deadly, Motor City Machine Guns, and DIY all had something to say for themselves in a great end to 2024 on the Blue Brand.

That’s why people still talk about it today, and new behind-the-scenes stories are always exciting to hear. Recently, WWE Superstar Austin Theory shared some surprising details about his experience working as an extra on the film.

Before his WWE career took off, Austin Theory worked as an extra in movies filmed in Atlanta, including Spider-Man: Homecoming. He played a prison inmate in the mid-credits scene where Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) talks to Mac Gargan (Michael Mando).

Theory shared that the scene was filmed in a real prison with actual inmates locked up nearby!

That was a crazy day, they were actually in the Jackson prison in Georgia.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ was well-received by fans when it came out in 2017. Many praised Tom Holland’s performance as Peter Parker, saying he captured the youthful, relatable side of Spider-Man perfectly. Jelly Roll opened WWE SummerSlam by performing a song live at the event. It started when Jelly Roll sang “God Bless America” to open the show. Then, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque came out and welcomed the crowd to Cleveland Browns Stadium for the huge event and then introduced Jelly Roll.

Aspiring wrestler Jelly Roll returned to the WWE Saturday at the SummerSlam event in Cleveland, where the country star doled out some punishment with a folding chair.

The singer, a spectator for much of SummerSlam, stepped into the ring during a standoff that pitted Miz and R-Truth against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Jelly Roll chose align with the former, picking up a folding chair and delivering it to the backs of the latter.

He's returned on a semi-regular basis to face the likes of Roman Reigns, Austin Theory, and even The Undertaker. But that will soon change, as Cena has officially confirmed that he plans to hang up his iconic jorts.

“Big” Bronson Reed etched his name in history as he won the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in thrilling fashion. Omos looked like the early favorite as he tossed out Kit Wilson, prompting Elton Prince to voluntarily eliminate himself to join his Pretty Deadly partner and avoid the wrath of The Nigerian Giant. As the field dwindled, Ricochet was poised to take control, but he was shockingly eliminated by Jd McDonagh, who was then promptly superkicked over the top rope by Akira Tozawa. Tozawa, Reed, Ivar and Otis were the final four Superstars, and the Aussie giant stood tall after eliminating the Viking Raider.

Apart from the thrilling matches at WWE, the wrestling industry has often made headlines for lacking female referees, until Jessika Carr made her debut in 2019 during SmackDown. Being the first full-time female referee, Carr has been working with WWE for a long time.

However, despite her unbiased judgment and help, she seems to lack her deserving credit. Take the recent example of WrestleMania 40 when a few fans noticed Jessica Carr helping Damian Priest during the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match. Apparently, Carr saved Priest from a scary botch by informing him about his ladder. And yet, rarely anyone offered Carr the credit for helping.

Making her debut in 2019 during Friday Night SmackDown, Jessica Carr became WWE’s first full-time female referee. Ever since then she has been appearing during several matches and dedicating herself to the wrestling universe.

WrestleMania 40’s night one in Philadelphia was a spectacle of high-octane wrestling that lived up to the grandeur expected of such a storied event. The evening was headlined by a tag team match featuring Roman Reigns and The Rock against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, which delivered an electrifying performance, setting a dramatic tone for the rest Wrestlemania weekend! The stakes were incredibly high, with the outcome influencing the main event of night two, adding a layer of strategic depth to the match. Roman Reigns and The Rock took the win and if Cody Rhodes is going to “finish the story” he will be playing now by the Bloodline’s rules for night two!

The Bloodline’s presence was felt throughout the night, particularly in the emotionally charged match between estranged twin brothers Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso, which showcased a personal family drama unfolding in the ring.
